10 Small Sewing Projects for Gifts

You could couple this homemade gift with a potted plant, seeds, a watering can, plant labels or any other plant related items the recipient would enjoy!

We all have too many cords and charging cables and can use some help with them. You could whip up a very cute fabric cord organizer or cell phone pillow holder! Then you could pair this with so many different types of cord accessories, including extra cords or even a portable charger.

#6 Hot Dish Carrier

Maybe you have someone in your life who has just got their first apartment, maybe just got married? A dish carrying tote with a dish would make a fabulous gift. I got one of these when we got married and love it! Its been over 10 years now and I’m still using it. I found a pattern that has two sizes, a pie dish and a casserole dish, so it gives you options! You could also pair this with a favorite recipe for them to make in the dish you bought!

If you’ve got someone in your life that is a gamer or has a desk job, maybe make them a mouse pad. There is a free tutorial by Orange Bettie and it looks extremely simple. I may have to give this a go myself! Some ideas of thing to pair with it could be a new keyboard and mouse or even a small rechargeable desk lamp. I bought the little lamp for my desk, and it makes me feel so cozy!
